Letter from the CEO
Dear Member of the SpeechEasy Community:
Welcome to the third issue of "Let's Talk," the newsletter that keeps you up-to-date on what is happening with SpeechEasy! Thank you for taking an interest in our company and our product. We hope you find this issue informative and educational. It is one of the ways we like to keep you in touch with what's happening in the SpeechEasy community. .
We've included a variety of articles in this issue that we feel have special significance to members of the SpeechEasy community:
- Alan Newton, our VP of SpeechEasy, gives us an update on the international distribution of the SpeechEasy device - an exciting expansion designed to increase availability in Asia and Europe.
- Speech Pathologists may have a keen interest in the article about non-dispensing SLPs, and the important role they can play in educating members of the stuttering community.
- SLPs and SpeechEasy users alike may have special interest in the testimonials from three of our device users - a special section for them to share with us how SpeechEasy has changed their lives. This section focuses on real-life results, which are one of the most rewarding elements for all of us: hearing what you have to say! We believe that you will read these stories and walk away feeling inspired and hopeful.
- We've also included interesting demographic information about our SpeechEasy users, as well as a list of places that will serve as a reference for users to obtain additional support.
It gives us great pride to announce the recipients of the Sean Anderson Memorial Scholarship, which were awarded in early September. Sean Anderson was a member of the SpeechEasy community who sadly passed away in February 2004. Sean's mother, Martha, saw how the SpeechEasy significantly enhanced her son's life and wanted others to have the same experience. . Inspired by her spirit, Martha and Janus Development Group worked together to establish a scholarship in his name. The scholarship annually awards one Florida youth (between the ages of 8 and 15) a SpeechEasy device and related fitting costs. This year, due to a tie, we are pleased to announce two recipients! Congratulations to Courtney Owens of St. Augustine, Florida and Diego Cortez of Sarasota, Florida. We send best wishes to you both and look forward to hearing your stories of improved fluency and enhanced quality of life.
Here at Janus Development Group, we strive for the highest customer satisfaction. We love to hear from our clients, Speech Language Pathologists and others who have questions about our product. We are always looking for ways to make improvements and we recognize that you play an important role in that pursuit. We encourage the development of ongoing efficacy studies, customer feedback research and design...
Thank you for your continued support and input. We look forward to continuing to keep you informed and connected to the SpeechEasy Community. Please do not hesitate in contacting us directly should you have concerns, ideas or if you simply want more information. We'd love to hear from you - Let's Talk!
Best Regards,
Darwin Richards
