Financing
You may pay for your SpeechEasy with VISA or MasterCard. We urge you to call your credit card company because some offer a special interest rate or payments for medical purchases such as the SpeechEasy.

For those who qualify, CareCredit and HELPCard financing is available for the purchase of the SpeechEasy. Please see the brochures included in your packet.

To apply for CareCredit, visit www.CareCredit.com, click on "Patients/Clients," in Step 1 type in "Janus Development Group," complete the on-line application. At the end you will be told your credit limit and account number. Print this sheet and take to your Providing SLP for processing payment.

To apply for HelpCard, visit www.helpcard.com, click on "Consumers," click on "Cardholder Application" at the top, complete the application. You will be notified by email within the day of your account number and credit limit. Print that sheet and take to your Providing SLP for processing payment.

Banks or local lending institutions, such as employee credit unions, may also be an appropriate resource for similar financing. Consult the local branch of your bank or credit union for more information on available loan options.

State Government Programs
You may find opportunities to subsidize the purchase of your SpeechEasy device through your state Vocational Rehabilitation Programs. Visit http://www.jan.wvu.edu/SBSES/VOCREHAB.HTM and click on your state name for Vocational Rehabilitation information. You can also check the blue pages of your phone book. Ask your providing SLP for more information or call Janus.

Community Organizations
You may want to contact your local civic or religious organizations for programs that may provide assistance. Some of these are Kiwanis International, the Rotary Club, the Lions Club and the Moose Lodge. Check with your Chamber of Commerce for other philanthropic organizations or individuals in your city.

Public School Programs
If your child is between the ages of 3 and 21 and is enrolled in a public school or local education agency, they may be entitled to special services and equipment under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). You may request to have the child evaluated for speech and hearing impairments at no charge.

Health Insurance Reimbursement
Some insurance companies may award partial or full reimbursement, depending upon your individual policy. SpeechEasy has contracted with Healthcare Reimbursement Solutions, Inc. (HRSI) to help you obtain reimbursement from your insurance provider at no charge.
